Warranties - At Select Car Sales, every car we sell will be carefully inspected and comes with up to three years comprehensive warranty.

Component Cover - The following components are covered against mechanical breakdown (as defined elsewhere in this website) of those items listed below. Please note that parts not listed are specifically excluded.

ENGINE		GEARBOX
Big end bearing, con rods, crankshaft, camshaft, cam followers, cylinders bores, cylinder head (excluding cracks), distributor drive, flywheel, main bearings, inlet valves, valve guides, pistons and rings, tappet gear, timing gears, chains, starter ring gear, oil pump, gudgeon pins, small end bearings, valve springs, valve collects, rocker shafts, all internal bushings. Excluding lubricants and filter elements.		Gears, synchromesh hubs, selectors, shafts, input shaft, lay shaft, main shaft, reverse idler gear, reverse idler shaft, selector shafts and selector forks, bearings and bushes. Excluding any internal linkages.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION		TORQUE CONVERTER
Gears, clutches, brake bands, valve block, oil pump, drive plate, pinion carrier, sun gear, internal shafts, unidirectional clutch, bearings and bushes. Excluding external linkages, adjustments and electric’s.		Casings, impeller blades, master splines and drive.
OVER DRIVE		CLUTCH
Gears, shafts, bearings and brushes. Excluding external linkages, adjustments and electrics.		Clutch plate, clutch cover, thrust bearing, and or release bearing. Excluding external linkages and burnt out parts. Limited to one clutch repair during the policy period.
DIFFERENTIAL		DRIVE SHAFTS
Crown wheel and pinion, gears, shafts, bearings and bushes, planet gears, planet carriers, thrust washers.		Half shafts, front and rear wheel external drive shafts, universal joints, constant velocity joints and couplings, but excluding rubber boots.
SUSPENSION		STEERING
Coil springs, leaf springs and wishbones, shock absorbers, suspension arms, McPherson struts, self levelling reservoir, pump and regulator valve, hydropneumatic suspension units (excluding pipes).		Rack and pinion, steering box, idler box, power steering unit, pump and pressure pipes.
COOLING SYSTEM		FUEL SYSTEM *
Water pump, thermostat and head gasket. All other parts and damage caused by overheating, frost, or as a lack of anti-freeze are excluded.		Carburettor, fuel pump and injector pump, jets, needles, valves and floats.
ELECTRICS *		BRAKING SYSTEM
Starter moor, alternator, regulator, coil, wiper motor (front and rear), heater fan motor. All other parts associated with the electrical system are specifically excluded.		Servo unit, master cylinder and brake callipers including seals and pistons.
PROPSHAFT		AIR CONDITIONING
Propshaft including universal joints and bearings.		Internal failure of the compressor, reservoir, evaporator, vacuum pump.
LOCKS		CASINGS
Door and Boot locks (excluding accidental damage)		Casings are covered if they have been damaged by any of the listed parts.
BEARINGS
Failure of the front and rear wheel bearings where mechanical breakdown has occurred causing sudden stoppage of their function
